Wine All You Want
Published Mar 12, 2007

Here’s a toast to the Willamette Valley wine industry.

Oregon’s leading wine region is home to more than 200 wineries – two-thirds of the state’s total.

With a climate that has been compared favorably to the Alsace and Burgundy wine-producing regions of France, the valley is regarded as a world leader in the production of pinot noir and pinot gris grapes.

Willamette Valley vineyards and wineries also produce Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, melon, pinot blanc, Riesling, Sauvignon blanc and syrah.
